OSHA Industry Outreach, Forklift Operator Training at Sandburg

Registration is available for Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) general industry outreach and forklift operator training classes to be offered this November through Carl Sandburg College’s Corporate and Leisure College.
The OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Outreach Training course will take place from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Nov. 5-6, and a Forklift Operator Training course will be offered from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Nov. 7. Classes will take place at the Center for Manufacturing Excellence, 2051 Tom L. Wilson Blvd., on Sandburg’s Main Campus in Galesburg.
Training topics to be covered include:
- Common violations
- Inspections
- Citations and penalties
- Hazardous materials
- Electrical safety
- Machine guarding
- Fire protection
- Forklift maintenance
- ANSI driving procedures
Cost is $100 for OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Outreach Training and $75 for Forklift Operator Training (cost listed includes materials). Registrants may sign up for one or both classes.
